Mission Statement

The life of the church is the response of faith and obedience to the call of God in Christ.

Gathered:  We worship and sing, study and pray.  We enjoy fellowship together.  Forgiven by God, we learn to forgive other people.

Sent forth:  We serve as leaven, salt and light, to be agents of God's love in Savannah  and the larger world.

A Prayer for our Church

O God, who is the only Founder and Keeper of the Church: Make this church, the church of the warm heart, of the open mind, of the adventurous spirit.  Enable it to be the church that cares, that heals hurt lives, that comforts the old, and challenges the young.  May it know no division of culture or class; no frontiers, geographical or social.  Make it the church that inspires as well as verifies; that looks forward as well as backward.  Help it to be a worshiping church, a winsome church, inspiring courage for this life and hope for the life to come.  For Jesus' sake. Amen
